da Vinci's Painting, "The Last Supper" & Linear Perspective in Art

This painting is Leonardo da Vinci’s, The Last Supper. In the second image I have placed red lines that follow the edges along the walls and ceiling. I could do this with all edges and they would all point to Christ’s head, the vanishing point on the horizon line. I did a prior post about linear perspective. In this painting, da Vinci used one point linear perspective. Linear perspective gives the illusion of 3 dimensional images on a 2 dimensional support. Converging parallel lines move towards a vanishing point(s) on the horizon line (eye level). Da Vinci used linear perspective to emphasize the figure of Christ.
